Web Design
- How do I order a website?
- You have to send us detailed information, such as:
- Do you want a website for your company or a personal website?
- How many pages do you want? (example: home, about us, contact, etc)
- Do you want any multimidia on the site? (flash animation, video)
- Do you already have a logo ou do you want me to design a logo for you?
- I need also the pictures and text that will be included on the site, as well as the logo if you already have one.
- How long does it take for a site to be developed?
- The amount of time it takes depends on the kind of project. Although it is difficult to be defined, the approximate time it takes can be calculated as follows:
- Basic Site: from 10 to 20 work-days;
- Medium Level Site: from 20 to 40 work-days;
- High Complexity Site: from 1 to 3 months.
- What is the price of a Website-development?
- Alike the time, the cost is closely related to the level of complexity. Basic sites with up to 5 pages cost $ 300.00 to $ 500.00 USD. If I develop your logo, animations or other extras their cost will be added to the cost of the site.
- Will I have to pay monthly maintenance fees?
- You do not have to, but it is always a good practice to do it, mainly for medium and high complexity sites. Note that maintenance is not the same as update. The updates, or modifications, have their own cost. If your site needs frequent updates, I may make an agreement on monthly fees.
- Can I have a multi-language site so that I can reach another market?
- Yes, you can. A site can be desined in any language, but the structure of StarNet Design allows, at the moment, design for two-language sites, in English and Portuguese, like the starnetdesign.com site itself.
- Will I have other expenses besides the design and maintenance of the site?
- Yes, you must buy a domain and hire a host. There has been people asking if I am a hosting provider. No I am not, but I will point an affordable host to you after I make an agreement.
- What does a site need to be efficient?
- It needs speed, unbroken links, beauty, useful content and search engine optimization.
Search Engine Optimization
- How do I do for my website to be optimized?
- Send us your URL (example: www.mysite.com). I will analyze it and send you the estimated number of hours it will take and my houly rate. After your reply, if the service interests you, I will send a link for you to hire me on oDesk.
- Do you guarantee that my site will be amongst the first?
- I cannot guarantee, for the rank does not depends only on your site optimization, it depends also on the other. However, you can be sure that the probability of your site be one of the first is realy big, and that it is almost certain that it will be positioned on one of the first 3 pages, more likely on the first page of the search engines.
Logo Design
- How do I order a logo?
- You fill in the form contact or email us telling us the way you want your logo ( what should it symbolize, which colors, etc.). I will analyze it and send you the estimated number of hours it will take and my houly rate. After your reply, if the service interests you, I will send a link for you to hire me on oDesk.
Layouts for Print
